A Look Inside the Library
09/11/2016
Within our International Poster Exhibition this year we curated a library of books from carefully selected publishers, which provide more details on the broader context of poster and graphic design.
In the library area, we encouraged visitors to read, scan and share with a black and white copier and a wall for pinning up and sharing.
By no means a comprehensive guide, but rather a selection of books we have found enlightening, informative or entertaining, related to graphic design and specifically poster design.
The reading list includes books and publications which accompany past festivals, exhibitions and competitions, magazines which focus on poster and exhibition design and a selection of timeless monographs which focus on core aspects of graphic design – both practical and theoretical. We have also included an arguably miscellaneous selection which focuses on specific designers, movements and eras.
Here we showcase the books and the publishers behind them. Thank you to each of the publishers who kindly contributed to the exhibition, your generosity is very much appreciated.
