1-Day Workshop: STV Creative – An Exquisite Corpse

12/06/2017

STV Creative crafted an incredibly action-packed rollercoaster of a workshop into one day.

The workshop participants were introduced to motion graphics, animation and various filming techniques while they created a typographic film/animation of the festival acronym GDFS, tackling both the feature frames and the transitions between letters.

The workshop participants were divided into three groups. Each group was allocated two letters (from GDFS), a start frame template, and an end frame template. We were tasked to use different forms of motion graphics/animation to transition from one letter to the next within 5-15 seconds. Each group’s contribution was compiled into a final edit and featured online.
