Mohawk X GDFS
10/01/2016
Mohawk was founded in 1931 in upstate New York, where the Hudson and Mohawk rivers come together and since then, has evolved to become the largest privately owned fine paper manufacturer in North America.
We are proud to be partnered with Mohawk for GDFS 2015. Mohawk put people, innovation and craftsmanship at the front of what they do and they produce some of the finest uncoated papers in the world.
To accompany Graphic Design Festival Scotland 2015 we produced a bespoke, 24 page printed publication – edited and designed by Warriors Studio, with all aspects of production and distribution taken care of by Mohawk. The book is printed on Mohawk Superfine Eggshell Digital with i-Tone, Ultrawhite 148gsm – cover 324gsm at Mohawk’s Innovation Centre in Albany, New York in a limited run of 1000 copies.
The publication includes interviews with, and commissioned artwork from internationally renowned creative practices and organisations including; Studio Moross, It’s Nice That, Colophon, The Rodina and HelloMe. Liv Siddall interviews James Gilchrist and Beth Wilson of Warriors Studio, who share recent highlights from their bookshelf, Adrian Shaughnessy champions the importance of collaboration and you will also find a comprehensive index of all of those involved in GDFS 2015. Enjoy!
For those of who couldn’t make it to Scotland, we held a small number back which will be available online soon.
